1993 US introduction.

The was launched in the US at the New York autoshow in Jan of 1992. The car displayed at the New York launch was a color-to-sample Ferrari Fly Yellow example currently owned by registry member Mark T of PA. This was not one of the standard colors, but was sufficiently striking to cause four out of a total of 701 customers to order their in that color despite the additional cost of $2,498 for the privilege.

The images on this page are of the displayed at the NAIAS (North American International Auto Show) in 1992 in Detroit. These pictures were taken by an autoshow visitor and despite their professional appearance, are not official factory media photographs.

These images clearly show that even on the show car, although both the “” and the “” rear decklid emblems are in place on the engine cover below the whaletail [Show me], the “” decals (stickers) are not present on the cars flanks above the rocker panel, behind the doors but ahead of the rear wheel wells. [Show me].
