On February 24th this year the 200th member joined the RS America registry. Membership numbers continue to increase as news of the registry and the website spreads. With a significant portion of owners of the 701 RSAs ever made now in the registry, membership should grow more rapidly as there are more people spreading the word. Looking at the distribution of members per the Registry statistics page, it seems that it would be worthwhile organizing a registry gathering in Southern CA. Perhaps the weekend of June 7th and 8th at the California Speedway in Fontana would be a good venue for at least an RS America corral. If this is something you might be interested in participating in, please let me know and, subject to getting sufficient positive response, I will look into organizing it.
Site updates include a new article on Cup Car Performance upgrade package from Bert R of MD, plus further additions to the Photo Gallery page where registry members are given a FREE page on the site to post data and images of their cars. If you would like your own page on the website - e-mail me some pictures or data you would like posted (don't forget to give me permission to post it) and I will create a page for you.
I continuously receive questions on all things RSA by e-mail, with approximately two 3rds of them being already answered on the website. I'm not sure whether people can't find data on the site or just can't be bothered to look. Once the forum is up I hope to have to spend less time answering inquiries. Questions range from “Do you know of any RS Americas for sale?” to “Where can I buy a cup holder for my RS America?”(honest!). I am continuing to add the less frivolous questions (along with their answers) to the FAQ's page.
In the interests of establishing the weight of an RSA I would like to canvas registry members to develop a database. So, if you have had your RSA weighed, please could you e-mail me with the following:
